Weight Management

Are you worried about your weight or do you want information and support about managing a healthy weight?
A Health Trainer may be able to help you in a number of ways.

  • They offer one-to-one support to help you make healthy changes to your diet to help you lose weight and keep it off.
  • They run free weight management groups across the city; where we give information, answer questions, and a Health Trainer will support you. The groups are friendly and everyone within the group wants to change their weight.

A Health Trainer can help you find out about the Eatwell plate, portion size, reading labels to find hidden calories, and show you why fibre is important and what low fat actually means.

Our groups can be found:

  • Monday at Southsea Community Centre 11.00-12.00
  • Monday at Paulsgrove Children’s Centre 6.00-8.00
  • Tuesday at IAG Centre (Arundel Street) 1.30-2.30
  • Wednesday at Friendship House 12.30-1.30
  • Wednesday at Paulsgrove Healthy Living Centre 12.30-1.30
